Investing in people strategy and successfully scaling a culture of employee engagement helps top organizations move ahead of the pack. To acknowledge the efforts of today’s people-first business leaders, Scaling Up and Emplify are proud to present the ScaleUp Culture of the Year Award.

About the award
The ScaleUp Culture of the Year Award recognizes organizations with high employee engagement and winning company cultures. Powered by Emplify, the official employee engagement partner of Scaling Up, this award is data-driven, using Emplify’s software to measure each participating company’s overall employee engagement score.
The award winners will be announced onstage at theScaleUp Summitin Anaheim, CA October 15-16th. While there can only be one winner in each category, every company that completes the application process will receive a personalized employee engagement snapshot from Emplify.
There will be three award categories, based on company size:
Organizations with 1-250 employees
Organizations with 251-500 employees
Organizations with more than 500 employees
Who should apply?
People-first executives or HR leaders who want to acknowledge their organization’s highly-engaged workforce and winning culture can apply on behalf of their company. (Only one application per company will be permitted.)
Companies using the Scaling Up methodology are encouraged to apply, but affiliation with Scaling Up is not required.
How to apply
Complete the application with some basic company and contact info by the application deadline of July 15.
Because Emplify is Scaling Up’s preferred employee engagement partner, there is no fee to apply.
After the application period comes to a close, Emplify will email participants a spreadsheet to complete and send back by July 19. This sheet will include the employee info required to run the Emplify employee engagement survey, including all employee names, company email addresses, and phone numbers (if applicable). (If you’re a current Emplify customer, you can apply using your most recent engagement score if your Emplify survey was or will be completed within 3 months of the award survey close.*)
On July 29th, employee surveys will open for all qualified applicants. A link to the survey will be sent individually to each organization’s employees, who will have 5 days to complete it. (All individual survey responses are kept confidential.)
The survey will close on August 2nd.
The companies with the top 5 employee engagement scores in each category will be finalists and will be asked to submit a written essay and 1-2 minute video highlighting their company culture.
A panel of engagement and culture experts will review the finalists’ submissions and select the winners.
