Santiago Jaramillo

A nationally recognized expert and keynote speaker on employee engagement, Santiago Jaramillo is the co-author of Agile Engagement, an Amazon best-selling book that provides employers with a framework for measuring employee engagement. As the founder and CEO of Emplify, Santiago leads a team of engagement experts in their mission to provide more reliable employee engagement insights for better decision making. Santiago has spoken to and trained thousands of CEOs and HR leaders across small, mid-market, and Fortune 500 companies on the importance and business value of employee engagement. In 2013, Santiago was named to Inc. Magazine’s “30 Under 30” list and was invited to the White House for recognition of his entrepreneurial contributions through the Champions of Change program. Most recently, he received the award for Indiana Latino Businessman of the Year in 2016.

Alison Martin-Books

Alison Martin-Books is the founder and Chief Mentoring Officer of Diverse Talent Strategies, a consulting practice that helps companies attract, retain, and develop their talent through strategic mentoring initiatives, and works with universities, associations, and nonprofits to create scalable community-based mentoring programs. With impressive background work and roughly 20 years in nonprofit, Alison’s passion for developing talent led her to start Diverse Talent Strategies in 2011. In 2013, she founded the Pass the Torch for Women Foundation, which advocates for equal opportunities for women in professional environments and provides mentoring for women in need. Alison is a former Indy’s Best and Brightest nominee, and received the Indiana Commission for Women’s Torchbearer Award in 2014. She is also the author of the book Learning to Lead Through Mentoring, which outlines the eight lessons to consider before pursuing a mentoring relationship.
