Insights Live Webinar Series with Zappos: Preparing for the Next Chapter

About the webinar

The “new normal” is upon us, and with that comes questions around the how, what, and when of resuming business activity. Unfortunately, there is no “proven playbook” or “back-to-work checklist” for us to follow; we’re all trying to figure this out together.

That’s why we’re bringing together a power panel featuring Hollie Delaney, Chief People Strategist for Zappos, Ron Lovett, President of RFL Group of Companies, and Adam Weber, Chief People Officer and Co-founder for Emplify, for an open discussion about how they’re thinking about the next chapter.

Hollie Delaney is the Chief People Strategist for Zappos.com. Delaney has more than twelve years of experience with the Zappos family and many more in the world of human resources. She has helped lead the charge of changing the traditional company structure to one based on trust and distributed authority. Delaney has been pivotal in working to deliver
happiness and provide the best place for employees to work.

Prior to Zappos, Delaney served in different HR leadership capacities at both Marshall Retail Group and Vegas.com. She holds a bachelor’s in communication disorders and speech sciences from the University of Colorado.

Ron knew from a young age he didn’t fit traditional structures. The more teachers tried to get him to adhere to the rules, the more he rebelled. With a knack for finding shortcuts and creative solutions along with zero fear of the unknown, Ron began carving his own path as an entrepreneur. What started as a small venture providing door security for nightclubs, grew to a national security firm employing 1500 security guards across Canada. Ron’s unorthodox entrepreneurial journey is defined by relentless learning, fast action, constantly coaching your staff to reach their potential – and inspired his first book Outrageous Empowerment in 2018.

He sold his security company to the largest provider in the U.S. at a 24x multiple and now focuses on his people and culture company Connolly Owens, and a portfolio of 350 residential rentals in Atlantic Canada called Vida Living, set to revolutionize affordable housing.
